Are Australian-two-up systems worth the sometimes high costs involved to join?
Australian-two-up systems are springing up more and more on the Internet these days. The reason, in part, is due to the fact that this type of home based business can be conducted very effectively using recently developed online marketing tools such as flash videos, embedded audios, videoconferencing, etc.
But here's the rub, they can cost anywhere from $200 to $7,500 to join.
Are they worth it?
Well, they can be, if you really treat them as a business.
As a potential business owner you should only be concentrating on one thing, and although a price tag is important, that isn't it. The guiding principle when looking to start or join a business, whether it is an offline conventional business, or an online Australian-two-up system, is return on investment, commonly known as ROI.
Return on investment simply means: is it going to pay you back more than you put into it, including all of your marketing expenses.
That's what you should look at. Is it going to make you a profit? If you're going to make back the original investment quickly, and begin making a profit over and above advertising expenses, the initial cost is irrelevant.
This is where you'll need to do some research. There are far too many companies making overblown claims online not to!
How much research should you put in? Use this formula:
Cost to get involved + cost to do effective advertising = amount of research necessary.
If you are joining a program for $20 research time would be minimal. If you're looking to a program costing thousands of dollars, I suggest you do some serious research first.
No matter what company you join, you will need money for marketing. Even if you spend your time working on free advertising, don't forget, time is money. So don't be fooled into believing that the cost to join is the cost of doing business. It's not! Without advertising you are dead in a water. The Australian-two-up system might be an effective online business but even it, without advertising will make you no money.
So to answer the original question: are high priced programs, like those employing the Australian-two-up system, worth the cost? The answer is: if you can afford the upfront cost, your future advertising costs, and bottom line, if you feel you can make a profit.
