Sales Success Tip-Think You Need More Leads? Think Again!

Almost every sales person I speak with, when discussing their prospects for increasing their sales volume and thus their commissions start with leads. While leads a very important part of increasing sales, I find more often than not, most don't think about or simply ignore finding ways to improve the conversion of the leads they are already getting!

Here's a real life example: One of my personal clients came to me looking to increase sales. He predictably wanted to start with how to get more leads. But before I would let him get into that area, I wanted to understand how well he was doing with his current leads.

"What's your current conversion ratio?" I asked. "Well, I'm not sure exactly, but it's probably somewhere around 60-70%," he responded. "Measure it and get back to me in two weeks," I said. He was not happy, but he did as I instructed. When he had the results, he was crushed. "16%. 16%," he said. "That's' awful. I can't believe it!" "Actually, that's GREAT," I yelled at him. "How can that possibly be great?" "Ah, we can double, triple, even quadruple 16%!" "Do you know what would happen if you went from 16% to only 32%?" "Double my sales?" "How about to 48%? And that's still not even half!" "That would triple my sales, wouldn't it?"

Within 30 days, his ratio was up to 34%. That's right. In less than 30 days, he had just doubled his sales, all by making a few minor, but explosive changes in his conversion strategy. Take a look at your conversion rates. Are they all they could be? Remember, a 10% increase here is a 10% increase in sales and commissions, perhaps more if you are on a tiered schedule. And remember, if you currently have a 30% conversion ration, you only need to increase that to 33% to put 10% more in your pocket.

Look for ways to increase the number of current leads you are converting before looking for more leads. It only makes sense.

Viral Profit Machine - An In-Depth Review

When I first heard about the release of Viral Profit Machine, I thought to myself "Oh no... not another viral product with big promises and little results!" There are tons of products on the market that promise to help you build your business quickly. Most of them, don't work! Occasionally, there are a few products that are released that actually live up to the hype. Viral Profit Machine is one of those products. In this review I am going to show why and how this product should be a cornerstone of your business if you want to achieve immense success.

Ease of Use

One of the most important features of a product that will help your business is ease of use. If a product is difficult to setup and use then most people won't bother to signup, download, or use whatever you are offering. Viral Profit Machine is a snap to setup and even easier to use. Once you've got it up and running all that is left to do is start promoting it. Viral Profit Machine is simplistic in nature and includes step-by-step instructions to help you get going even faster. On top of that Alok Jain, the creator of Viral Profit Machine, provides excellent support.

Effectiveness

As I mentioned before, most of the viral marketing products on the market, promise big results. Most of them, hardly ever deliver. Viral Profit Machine is one of the most effective viral marketing methods because it offer 3 different incentives for your visitors, subscribers, and customers to help spread the word about your offer. Most people won't do anything without knowing "WIIFM" (What's In It For Me"). Once you own Viral Profit Machine you can have that whole aspect covered in 3 different ways.

Flexibility

The final feature that makes Viral Profit Machine a must-buy product, is its flexibility. There are many different applications for this type of viral marketing. You can use it for simple list building. It can also be used as an affiliate program for an ebook, report, or video tutorial series you are offering. There really is no limit to the creative ways you can implement Viral Profit Machine into your current marketing funnel. Think outside the box and you will experience traffic, subscribers, and sales like you have never seen before.

Wish List

While it is clear that I am an absolute fan of this product, there are a few things that I wish it had. As of right now, there isn't a way to broadcast messages to your affiliates that sign up. This would be helpful in situations where you want to launch a new product and you want to give your affiliates advance notice to really help create a buzz for your new product launch. The other feature I wish that it had was maybe adding a few more affiliate networks to really increase the opportunities that can be promoted. The more products you can offer your list the more chances of making more commissions.

Overall I think Viral Profit Machine is product that no internet marketer should be without. It is extremely easy to use and setup which makes it a great product for new internet marketers as well as seasoned internet marketers. Viral Profit Machine is also extremely effective because it offer 3 incentives for people to help spread the word about your product, report, or service. Lastly Viral Profit Machine is extremely flexible. You are only limited by your imagination as to the many uses you can have with it. Even lacking the features on my wish list this is still a must-have product. In addition, Alok has assured me that he is going to be adding some of the features I have requested, so it looks like Viral Profit Machine is going to get even better!

How To Sell On The Internet

For many of us, the Internet boom has opened up new doors in every aspect. It is a place to engage new people, find a gold mine of information, amuse yourself, and do many other things. The Internet has also become a place of business. Numerous people enjoy finding things to sell online. This can be accomplished using eBay, or find other avenues to go about doing this. A terrific way is to have your very own web site, and to attract customers through Internet advertising.

What you want to sell on the Internet is entirely up to you. If you have a home or neighborhood business, you can certainly expand it online to the Internet. You can sell things online that you can sell just about anywhere. You'll have to depend on the shipping companies to ship your products worldwide, but when selling online, you've opened a new kind of world of possibilities for you and your business. You don't even have to sell things online, as you can sell many other things that do not require shipping.

I often ponder the many different ways people start their own businesses. I suppose it just depends on their individual preferences and fortes. We all should take advantage of what we're good at. What do you appreciate, and take pride in? This may be your way to making money on the Internet. People just like you do it every single day. If you think they can't, you're only fooling yourself. Some individuals build websites and write informative articles to answer questions. They place ad links on their websites, so that when folks like you and me read their informative articles, we just might be intrigued and click on an ad link. This earns them revenue. Maybe you've already heard of the online marketing tool, Google AdSense. Feel free to use it yourself.

The other things that you can sell on the Internet are your talents. If you are a writer or a photographer, there are many, many people online who require your work. Web sites rely on content to draw in people, and also to provide the information that people are searching for every day. People also need photographs to go along with this content. If you're interested in selling online, you have to contemplate using freelance opportunities. There are many out there, and if you give it enough time, you can have a great career working exclusively online.

Remember that in order to sell products or services on the Internet, you have to have advertising just as you would if you were to sell from a retail store. Another good way of getting consumers to notice your business by the online public is to provide keyword rich content on your web site. When you want to sell on the Internet you have to be creative about your advertising, and you also have to make sure your customer satisfaction is constantly high. Complaints in a retail store may harm your business a little, but it only takes one horrible review from an Internet user to tank your online business. Make sure you take care of your customer, as well as you would take care of yourself, and you should have no problem at all finding a market online for whatever it is that you wish to start.

The Importance of Mass Exposure in Online Business

Massive exposure is a must in online business. Too many would be successful entrepreneur's and home based business owners focus on the age old saying "quality before quantity." This does not hold true in the home based business industry. When dealing with online marketing and advertising, QUANTITY comes before QUALITY.

Let me give you an example. You go to a lead source with the intent on buying leads, and are given a choice. You can order 20 highly targeted surveyed phone verified leads for $30, or you can order 15,000 30 day old auto responder leads for $30. On the surface the 20 highly targeted leads seems to be a better deal. Because you got 20 people who appear to already be waiting to buy, and they are just waiting for your phone call or email.

In online business this simply isn't true. The fact of the matter is each of these lead lists have been sold and resold countless times. It doesn't matter who your lead provider is, chances are the list of leads you ordered have been sold at least 5 or 6 times.

Some companies will claim that this isn't the case with their particular brand of leads, that they only sell their lists two or three times to separate companies, and this may be true. 'THEY' might not have resold the lists multiple times, but the provider they used did for sure. And for this reason alone, quantity is more important then quality when dealing with these types of contacts.

A $3, 10 question phone verified surveyed lead will perform just as well as a 3 cent auto responder bulk lead under these circumstances, and the results will only become evident by using a massive amount of contacts and playing the numbers game.

Your goal in this industry should always be mass exposure. Trying to get the most promotional bang for your buck to a targeted audience. Any advertising means you decide to use, whether its purchasing bulk leads or paying for PPC advertising, you want your product to be put in front of a targeted audience. So make sure any leads you buy, and any PPC provider you choose to take advantage of, helps you in terms of MASS EXPOSURE.

Most successful online marketers will use a wide range of mass exposure tools. Including email, traffic exchanges, PPC, Podcasting, articles etc. Anything that will bring the MOST traffic to their websites. Not necessarily the MOST targeted.

Now don't get me wrong, targeted traffic is great. But getting guaranteed targeted traffic can be both time consuming and expensive. At the end of the day with highly targeted traffic you could see a conversion improvement of only .5% - 1%, for a price increase of a couple thousand dollars. So unless you have huge investment capital, going for the 'highly targeted' variety of traffic isn't always worth it.

What about PPC (pay per click) traffic vs. Traffic Exchange traffic for home based business?

In all honestly I believe traffic exchange traffic is superior to PPC traffic when you utilize the PPC's correctly for a number of reasons. First and foremost traffic exchange traffic is free, you can direct thousands of targeted hits to your website daily at NO cost. If you were using a PPC, the cost can be astronomical. Lead capture on the traffic exchanges is highly effective, you can pretty much count on 1 opt-in for every 700 visitors you send to your site. In a PPC, the same could hold true, but you are paying anywhere from .5 cents to 25 cents per visitor, sometimes even more. Which can make PPC advertising impractical.

PPC advertising doesn't fulfill the requirement of 'mass exposure', again your sacrificing quantity for quality and that idea never works very well online. Can a good inexpensive PPC campaign help your business? Sure. But it should be one tool in your arsenal, and a minor tool. If you plan on getting ALL your website sales through PPC advertising, the costs can quickly outweigh the profits.
In closing, always go for quantity over quality in online advertising and marketing.

Top On-line Opportunities

There are companies on-line that will pay bloggers to write articles for their own blogs for advertisers. And considering bloggers generally enjoy writing -- what better way is there to write articles for your own blog? This is one of the best concepts for bloggers. This is a much better way to make money than reading e-mails!

Since everyone who has a blog must create new content for it regularly; these companies will definitely keep you from experiencing writers block because they give you a subject to write about while paying you to do so! For bloggers I do not believe there is a better way to incorporate making money with a blog.

If you are a stay at home mom or a college student who enjoys writing and are able to crank out a bunch of articles per week -- this could become a lucrative part-time income. And there are many companies who are now paying bloggers for content so that you can easily make money from home doing something that you enjoy.

There is one company that pays $10 per article. Another is currently holding a contest where they are giving away $15,000 in cash and prizes in addition to paying for articles. And there are lots of other companies who are paying for bloggers content.

Additionally, Google has a research project that you may participate in that pays $75 per hour. You would rate new products and services online or from one of their worldwide offices.

Social book-marking is very popular at the present time. Most of us are familiar with sites like MySpace and YouTube, but there are new companies that are growing extremely popular by leaps and bounds. One of these companies will allow you to blatantly advertise on their site without fear of being shut down. You can create a number of advertisements referred to as lenses which are pages that are search engine friendly -- and you can link these lenses.

You can put links in your ad copy, add your RSS feed, write articles, advertise your products with their affiliate links, use your YouTube videos in lenses and/or join groups and send your ads to the various groups. And you can even get paid for your lenses!

The search engines pick up these lenses extremely fast which will bring a lot of traffic your way without spending any money on advertising. Just make sure to make your lenses keyword rich and include your RSS feed if at all possible because the search engines love fresh new content. I posted a couple of lenses and got two links on Google within days.

There is one other company I would like to mention that is a Freelance Work Exchange type company. Although this is not a free program, you can join for 7 days for just $2.95 which allows you to go to their work-at-home job listings and register for jobs on the site. And of course there are many other companies of this nature. I took a look at the job categories and they were extremely interesting.

The job bank featured jobs for writing product reviews, movie reviews, poetry for greeting cards, posting to forums and many other unique and interesting writing assignments that would be of interest to many. Additionally, when you sign up you will receive a free e-book called Million Dollar Freelancing. Here are the areas of opportunity:

* Copy-writing, Editing, And Proofreading

* Medical Transcription

* Home Based Business Opportunities

* Internet Research

* Administration

* Web And Graphic Design

* Programming And Scripting

Further, if you could use a couple of quick links on Google -- there is another program that I would recommend. With this program you will instantly receive about 4 new links on Google immediately. There are lots of interesting programs that will generate traffic that you must pay for -- but to sign up and to get the free links you can join free. Although I have not gone into very much detail about this program it also contains very interesting traffic generating techniques including information on how to create clouds.

These are not get-rich-quick schemes -- but if you need additional income these programs offer a great way to earn a extra money. And according to the e-book Million Dollar Freelancing it appears that one could earn a very substantial income as a freelancer.

It appears that Corporate America is cashing in on this industry because they are realizing that it drastically cuts costs for operating expenses, cuts costs in providing insurance to employees and also cuts back on hourly wages and salaries. With the advent of the internet -- telecommuting is becoming very fashionable. If freelancing is something you have been contemplating the timing is right for a freelance career!

Affiliate Marketing -Using Article Marketing as a Sales Tool Part II

They keep thinking that there must be an easier way to make money online, and they are right! There is! The major problem with affiliate marketing, or any kind of website marketing in fact, is how to get traffic to your web site. Not just any traffic, but traffic that is interested in the affiliate product you are selling. You have a wonderful web page, providing a fabulous review of the product and doing a great job of pre-selling, with a link directly to the merchant's sales page, but you cannot get anybody to visit it.

Have you thought about combining article marketing with affiliate marketing? Write a few articles about the product you are selling. If you are selling an ebook on lighthouses, you could write an article about how lighthouses work, another on their development and another on the loneliness of the lighthouse keeper, and so on. Optimize it for the keyword lighthouses, and other keywords connected to it and make sure that your articles are well written.

Design a good bio or resource box, including a statement such as "For more information on lighthouses check out my web page xxxxxxxx, where you will find more interesting information and a free newsletter on the subject". Provide a link directly to your website. Now, this is where it gets interesting. You can use the articles to build up an email list by sending readers to a squeeze page, containing an opt-in form, and offering a free gift or your newsletter in exchange for a first name and email address.

Beating Adwords

Have you bought e-books about Beating Adwords and been frustrated because you find it difficult to follow? Have you felt stupid because you did not understand? Have you felt left alone, nobody to ask, only this damn e-book?

I have bought quite a few e-books and tried to follow the instructions to be successful and Beating Adwords, but usually I was in trouble after just a few pages. The author had forgot where he started and told all about how successful he/she was and how much money he/she has made. None of them tell you where to start and they are hard to get in contact with when you have problems.

Do you want a course similar to what you take at school, but for Beating Adwords?
Then you have come to the right place. I know where to find these courses.
I have bought them myself and followed them.
The courses is called Wealthy Affiliate University and Beating Adwords. Same authors for both.

If you are a hands on learner who likes to learn by interacting with people, online tools, resources, guides, and tutorials, the Wealthy Affiliate University is a great place to learn how to Beating Adwords. The Wealthy Affiliate University offers an array of tools, step by step instruction and personal coaching for members.
All the tools are easy to understand, and you can start as a beginner, intermediate or advanced.
You are never left alone; You will find a forum where you can ask the other members of the forum for help, or you can have One-on-One Support with the authors.

The same authors have written an e-book that will be a strong supplement to the Wealthy Affiliate University. It is not a must have, but I would recommend it, especially for beginners.
You may be familiar with Beating Adwords and already understand the potential, but there are many people making $1000s every day by setting up advertising campaigns using Google Adwords . There are several e-books out there showing you how to use Adwords to promote products and Make Money Online, but there is one that far surpasses any other product available. This product is Beating Adwords.

I have tried a few of these e-books and I must say I agree; this is far the best if you want to Beat the Adwords and Make Money Online!

Affiliate Marketing - The Power Of Giving Away Free Products

"Free" is one of the most powerful words that you can use in affiliate marketing. You can give a free good quality service or product in order to create attention. This article will touch on why when you give free products; you will actually get back much more.

"Cheap" can be word that will be able to create lots of interest but "Free" is the word that will enable you to do it much faster. So one of the things that this kind of marketer will practice is called delayed gratification.

Those that give free products may not profit today or tomorrow but if they can generate a lot of interest from giving away free things, they will soon be able to profit from it and it will last for as long as he wants.

Free will attracts lots of eyeballs and attentions. What this will mean that the same eyeballs will be able to see other kinds of desirable product that you might be offering in the future. So you will have to be patience when you are using the method of giving free products.

So the best thing that you can do is in exchange for your free gift, the customer will have to give you their name and email. This will be good for you as you will be building your own list. Even if you do not profit now, but if you have a list and you build a good relationship with them, you will be able to profit from the list that you have built. So do give away free reports or product and start building your list today.

Affiliate Marketing - When Not to Buy An Affiliate Product Using Your Own Affiliate Link?

One of the issues that always comes up on some of the affiliate marketing blogs and forums concerns buying from your own affiliate link. There are a couple schools of thought concerning this. The bottom line, however, is that there are times when it is appropriate to purchase a product using your own affiliate link and times when it is not. Here are some situations when it is not appropriate to buy a product using your own affiliate link:

Referred Through a PPC Search Engine

So you look up a product in a search engine and click on one of the ads. You like the product, go to purchase the product and realize you can buy the product through your own link and give yourself a discount. This is not appropriate. Why is this not appropriate? Because you have just cost that affiliate marketer money by clicking on their ad. Would you like another affiliate marketer increasing your advertising costs while getting the benefits of the sale? Also, if it was a landing page, they went through a lot of work to get you to want to purchase the product. They deserve credit for the referral.

Email from Subscribed Service

If you are like me, you've probably signed up for many affiliate marketing tips by email. Now, I do have to agree that most of the emails are really to get you to buy a product, but occasionally, one product comes along that you want. Again, the person who referred you should get the credit. They put work into their campaign and sold you on the product. Imagine yourself in this position.

These are not the only situations where it is inappropriate for an affiliate marketer to use their own affiliate link to purchase a product, but all of them are similar. Someone worked hard on their website, on their ad campaign, on their email campaign and so on, and you've stolen their income from their work by giving yourself a discount. This is an issue of ethics and what goes around will come around. So next time you're tempted to buy from your own affiliate link when you've been referred by someone else, think about how it would feel if you were the referrer.

Affiliate Marketing Guide - Think Outside The Box

Perhaps you have heard the statement, "9 out of 10 affiliate marketers do not make any sales!" Although I myself do not know the exact number for each affiliate program, but having been in the industry for several years makes me agree with that statement.

If you run your own affiliate program, then you will likely see that only about 10% of your affiliate forces make sales for you.

The Fact

What is going on out there, most marketers tend to join every affiliate programs they find on the net (I know, because almost all of affiliate programs are free to join, there is nothing to lose!). Hence, some green marketers often promote affiliate products that do not even match their niche. They are just trying to collect affiliate commissions, but they are actually hurting their credibility.

A few others make a terrible mistake (I have seen so many marketers are doing this mistake repeatedly) by enthusiastically searching for a profitable niche and when they finally find it, they immediately build a site, create content for the site and in the end, they start looking for affiliate products that can support the site.

What is wrong with this step?

If you use this step to build your affiliate marketing empire, then I am sure that you will fail more often than will you succeed. How many times it happens to you when you just can not find the perfect affiliate program for your targeted market within your niche!

Think Outside the Box

Actually there is another way to build your affiliate empire and all you have to do is change your point of view.

Why not try to find a profitable affiliate program first, before finding a profitable niche?

Find an excellent product with an affiliate program and a great commission. See what customers are saying about the product and see what other marketers think of the affiliate program. When you find the perfect program, join it and then try to find out what are the possible niche you can target with the product.

This way, you can build several profitable niches with a powerful problem-solving product in your hand that people are dying to buy!

Affiliate Marketing - Affiliate Business Starts With People (Part 1)

Most of the new affiliates will just go and find out a product that offers high commissions, throw up the links in their website, sit back and hoping that there will be somebody who will click on the affiliate link and buy the product. You will not be able to achieve anything if you think that is the way to do affiliate marketing.

Instead of focusing more on the products, you should be focusing more on the people. They are the one who will buy your product, not the products buying your product. If you do not even know what are the problems that the people who are in your niche are facing, the kind of interest that they have, the topic that they are talking about and more, it will be almost impossible for you to sell affiliate products to them.

Once you have already decided that you will be in a certain niche, you yourself will need to be part of the niche even if it is just briefly. You will need to know what are the things that your niche market wants and looking for. So what are the ways that you can use so that you will know what are the things that they are looking for?

One of the ways that you can do is to go to the forum that is related to your niche. Sign up for a account and read the post that people has put on the forum. Do take note of what are the key problems that they are facing and who are the experts in that niche.

How To Make Money Online - Don't Be A Plate Spinner

You must have seen those guys who spin the plates on sticks.

One after another they get the plates spinning until there are around 20+ plates spinning, and with just the occasional spin they keep them going until the act is over.

If you are not careful, your attempts to make money online can be akin to the amateur plate spinner. If you don't master the art of spinning your first plate, there is no point moving onto the next plate.

So, trying to spin six plates at once before you learn how to spin one will only end up with a lot of broken plates.

Whilst it is widely known that the best way of making money online is with Multiple Income Streams, if you don't master your first 'plate', spinning two will not be easier.

To get an idea of how many potential 'plates' are out there, all you have to do is a quick search on Google for "How To Make Money Online" (with quotes) and you can then work your way through the 645,000 sites and 39 pages of sponsored links.

Even if you whittle it down to your top 10 money making ideas it is still a lot of 'plates' to start with.

I just did a quick search and just on the first page there is a wide mix of ways to make money.

Blogs, Niche Content Websites, Text Link Ads, Squidoo, Elance, Avon, Affiliate Programs and then you have got others like Adsense, Adwords, Surveys, Type At Home and many products claiming to be the next amazing cash producing formula.

My advice to anyone looking to make money online, would be to start their first 'plate' in an area that interests them.

Thoroughly research your subject and be wary of the many scams out there.

If you are considering purchasing a program or product, email the owner with any questions you may have about his product.

If he can't be bothered answering your email, why should he get your money.

If you do a search for "product name + review" you will get plenty of results of review sites. Bear in mind that these are someones opinions and opinions differ from one person to another.

Another popular search term is "product name + scam" and the results again will throw up thousands of sites suggesting what you are thinking of buying is a scam.

This was a very clever sales technique which encouraged people to click on the ad to see if what they were thinking of buying was a scam.

You are then taken through a tried and tested sales pitch of doubt and then hope and are ultimately guided towards a sale.

I say it WAS a clever sales technique, because in my opinion it is being used too often by too many.

Another way to research your subject is through forums. For example a search for "affiliate marketing forums" will bring up thousands of results and you will find lots of things under discussion and no end of opinions on the product or program you are thinking of joining.

Whatever area you decide to start in, remember get your first 'plate' spinning before you add another and another and so on until your own multiple income streams are spinning along nicely.

One last bit of advice, and this is the most important part of this article. YOU MUST TAKE ACTION.

Nobody is going to do it for you, there is no e-book that magically produces money once read.

You are the master of your own destiny, set yourself goals and TAKE ACTION.

An Internet Marketer's Two Toughest Jobs! (And What You Can Do About Them)

If you look at the term 'Internet Marketer', you won't find the words designer, geek, technician, or even guru. The Internet Marketer's task is simply to market and sell!

Most Internet marketers I know are not experts at all. Alright, they know the basics of photoshop, how to set up a payment gateway etc but they know nothing about complex programming skills.

Why? They don't need to. They don't need to clutter their minds with useless information on C++, CGI, SQL. Most importantly, they don't need to waste their time on these activities. The investment on their time is better spent on the two activities which allow marketing and selling to happen.

Those are:

1) Forming good ideas, researching the competition, and creating the product. This is the CREATIVE process.

2) Marketing and selling your product. Driving traffic to your website, and building a large list of subscribers. This is the MARKETING AND SELLING process.

You see, a normal person will cringe at the thought of hiring a designer or a writer to build their website or help them in technical aspects. They would rather do it on their own. The consequence is that the most precious commodity, time, is wasted. And they might do as good a job as a professional. That is, unless you are a professional.

Most people I know are not expert designers, nor expert programmers. Most are amateur programmers or designers or know nothing about programming or designing. Therefore, it would be better to hire outside help to do a professional job (at low costs as well) and concentrate on the two most important activities!

Affiliate Marketing - The 4 Effective Affiliate Marketing Tips

Affiliate marketing is a business which everyone can be successful in if they are willing to put in their time and effort. What I am going to share with you in this article will be the 4 tips that you can use in your affiliate marketing business.

1. The 1st thing that you can do is to make sure that your affiliate program is related to the niche that you are in. If you are in weight loss niche, you definitely do not want to promote the dog trainings products to list who are interested in weight loss.

2. You should write your own advertising copies. If you are going to just use the advertising copies or articles that are already prepared by the affiliate program, you will not be able to set yourself apart from the affiliates who are involved in the same program too.

3. You must be a massive action taker. Whenever you learn a new strategy and technique, you must take action by applying it. The trick here is to focus on one technique at a time and completely mastered it before you go and learn another technique. This will prevents you from suffering information overload.

4. You must develop a positive attitude and a never give up mindset. You must have the self belief that you will be able to get successful with your affiliate marketing business. You must be determined and tell yourself that you should never ever give up.

These are the 4 tips which you can use to apply to your affiliate marketing business. So do go and apply it to achieve the affiliate success that you richly deserved.

Why Landing Pages Are Critial For Online Marketing Success

Landing pages are a critical part of any online marketing strategy. But before we talk about landing pages, it's important to remember that the two critical success factors to any online marketing campaign is traffic (the number of people that visit your site) and conversions (the number of people that take action when they get to your site).

WEBSITES...

When most businesses start building a website, they automatically go with the standard design, that is, the home page, about us page, product pages and contact us pages. Where this type of website is important factor in any online strategy, it should only make up one part of an overall web design strategy.

TRAFFIC...

One of the best methods of driving traffic to a website is with Pay Per Click Advertising, where you bid on individual keywords and direct where those visitors go on your site. Herein lies the problem...

Let's say you're an online hardware store that sells a range of different products, including hammers, saws, power tools and axes... and you have a website where people can buy them from. You pay for targeted keywords, such as 'buy hammer' and 'buy power tools' and send all the traffic to the home page of your website.

If the person that typed in 'buy hammer' doesn't see a hammer on the first page they are redirected to after they click on the ad, there is a much lower chance that they will convert to a sale. If, on the other hand, they click on the ad and are then taken to a page where they buy a hammer, there will be a much higher chance of them buying the hammer... leading to higher conversions and lower cost per customer acquisition.

LANDING PAGES...

This is where landing pages can be very effective. Different to a website, a landing page is a single page dedicated to a single product or service, providing the visitor everything they need to know to make a decision to buy the product immediately.

An example of a landing page can be found at Online Marketing Report. Here is a page where the only action the business wants the visitor to take is to order the report.

When targeted keywords direct traffic to targeted landing pages higher conversions will occur because the visitor is seeing exactly what they are searching for in Google

For example, if the hardware store had a landing page for a hammer and they bid on the keyword 'buy hammer' in Google and Yahoo, the person who clicked on the Pay Per Click ad would see exactly what they were looking for and more people would buy as a result.

For many businesses, having landing pages for each of the main products is essential for maximising advertising budgets and sales.

And when landing pages are coupled with testing and tracking, maximum profits are achieved.

What's New in Internet Marketing- Local Search

What's New about How People Search

Nielsen//NetRatings reports that online search rose 39 percent between January 2005 and January 2006. The pace of online search use continues in the double-digits.

In addition (and amazingly, to me), people are using search engines to find sites that they already know about and sites that have familiar URLs, such as using search engines to find "google" or "ebay." Instead of simply typing in the URL in the address bar (www.ebay.com) they're going to Google and typing "ebay" in the search box. More and more, people are using search engines as the start page for all their online needs.

According to WebProNews, three out of five shoppers say that the internet is their primary source of information when evaluating products and services. The greater the household income, the more likely it is that a person will use the internet to compare products and services.

Nielsen/NetRatings also reports that Google typically getting 50 percent of all the searches performed; therefore, it is wise to start with Google when planning any of your search engine marketing techniques. For comparison purposes, Yahoo hovers around 23 percent of all searches performed, and MSN slides in third at 8 percent.
Notes and News about Local Search

One of the up-and-coming internet marketing techniques is "local search." Think of local search as an online replacement for the Yellow Pages. People type in a search phrase to find local service providers, local retailers, and local restaurants.

For example, a typical user might go to Google and type in "painting contractor San Diego," and local contractors will show up at the top of the page. In addition to listing the contractors, local search also tells the user how many miles away they are, and provides a map to show the user where the contractor's location is. The best part is, if the contractor has a website, local search will display that URL as well. Bingo!

Here are some tips for using local search as one of your marketing techniques:

* Make sure that all the branch locations of your company are listed.

* Make sure your website is in the search engine's organic listings; most search engines won't include you in their local search database unless you are in their main database.

* Be patient; getting listed in local search can sometimes can 7-8 weeks.

* Google's local search: http://local.google.com/

* Yahoo's local search: http://local.yahoo.com/

Finding Home Based Business Opportunities

If you have the idea that those late night commercials actually is the key to beginning a successful business from home, you may want to quit reading right now. If you're still interested, know that a home based business does take work and is a risk, yet the income potential far exceeds what you would make in your working lifetime working for someone else.

There are opportunities for anyone out there with a willingness to invest some time and money and have the patience and fortitude to watch your business grow.

An important place to start when you've decided that you want to make a go of a home based business is your talents. What are the types of things you like to do and what are the types of things that you are good at doing without much help. In the beginning, you will want yourself to be your only employee to maximize your profits until you've gained some capital.

When thinking about a new business I've seen popping up around town lately, a designer that creates interesting bouquets out of fruit rather than flowers, it would be easy to see how this business may have gotten off the ground. I don't personally know the owner, but the path of his/her business would be easy to follow.

This may be something that she/he started creating at home and taking to family events and social gatherings. Others may have encouraged her/him to parley this talent into a money making business. She/He may have decided to do so and started by taking orders online or via the phone.

Once her/his business grew, she may have hired someone to help her/him with details like taking orders or general bookkeeping. She/He may have then decided to expand this business to include stores that people can come personally to and place orders or see examples of their work; perhaps they've even made some creations of their own to put on display or sell out of their store. This person decided to take their talent and create an out of the home business, but it could have easily stayed within their home as well.

When you've decided on your talent, gather the materials that you will need to begin, decide on pricing, and consider advertising. This is where you should be prepared to spend some money. People cannot come to you and give you business if they do not know that you're out there. Advertise locally, create and distribute pamphlets, list yourself in the business directory of the phone book.

Ask your current clients to recommend you to their friends and family, offer specials or discounts. If you want your business to stay in your home, do not take on more work than you can handle in a reasonable amount of time. Your business will be flourishing and you can choose to expand or stay the size you are. Either way, with a little work and determination, you will have something you were already good at and enjoyed into a business opportunity that affords you the benefits of owning and operating your own business.

Online Internet Marketing Advertising Business

If you own an online business, it's important that you find profitable methods to advertise and market it online. Online internet marketing advertising businesses are sometimes expensive and require a capital to invest depending on the form of advertising you are doing. However, because most Webmasters don't have thousands of dollars to invest into online internet marketing advertising business, I'm only going to discuss here free ways to get website traffic.

To start, let's discuss the ways of doing online internet marketing advertising business. First of all, I want you to realize that your website should focus on a well specified niche that hopefully has demand. Don't build a product and do online internet marketing advertising business; find a niche and build a product that supplies the demand. If there are already thousands of people looking for "Buy Car", then you know this niche is profitable since you can easily provide the solution by selling a car guide or even by selling cars. It's truly hard to force a product down someone's throat - but it's much easier to know what people are already looking for and simply offer it to them, and then continue on with your online internet marketing advertising business.

So you understand now - look for what people want, and then simply sell it to them. It all sounds great, but how to you research demand? Simply use the Overture keyword tool which gives you estimates of how many times each search term was searched on Yahoo!. This way, you can enter 'belts' for example and find that 15 000 people are searching for black belts. This would be a profitable niche, but before going onto your online internet marketing advertising business, let's look at competition.

If you go on google and search for black belts, you will find that over 1,500,000 websites exist on the topic. Now, this might seem like a lot, however you should now download the Google toolbar and look at each top 10's pages Page Rank. This will tell you how important the websites are, and if you find many websites with a PR over than 5, I suggest you let the niche go. However, if the websites don't treat black belts but red belts and have a PR of 5, you should go into the niche since your website will be treating black belts and will rank higher because the information on your site is more pertinent. Usually you should be able to analyze how hard is the competition with the number of websites displayed and with how many websites in the first 3 pages of results have a PR of over 5.

You don't want to make your online internet marketing advertising business fail - it'll be much more easier to dominate and profit from a niche if your product has high demand and low competition. Now that you have a niche, create a product around it. This is where your expertise might need to come in and it also means that if you have knowledge in the niche you'll be ahead of the game. I suggest creating informational guides, such as "How to take care of your black belts" or something of the sort. Then you can write a ten-page ebook and sell it for $20 or whatever you think is reasonable. Now that your website is up, you're ready for your online internet marketing advertising business.

Now, I'm going to be frank with you. If you performed your search of high demand / low competition properly, than marketing your website will be a joke. However the internet is not a new place anymore and more and more people are building e-businesses. The reality is that almost any niche requires work to market in. Once you build a clean, nice website and your product in your selected niche, you should primarily focus on online internet marketing advertising business.

The best way to dominate your niche, and I'm not going to lie to you, is by being ranked #1 for the term "black belts" in Google. Each time those 15 000 searches are performed monthly, your website will be seen because you'll be ranked #1. You'll dominate your niche, and anyone who has ever been interested in black belts will have came across your website. There are two main reasons why search engine traffic is the best:

- It's totally free

- It's targeted since searches are searching for "black belts" already.

The result: A lot of profit. Not only are your online internet marketing advertising business costs kept close to nothing, but you'll be getting some of the best traffic around. If you already own a website and if you're not practicing SEO (Search Engine Marketing), than you should start right away. If you don't, you'll be losing out on thousands of customers monthly.

Without a doubt, the best way to perform your online internet marketing business by getting the #1 positions on the major search engines is by using SEO Elite. This is what I suggest to all my clients and it's truly the best way to dominate any niche.

Joint Ventures - How To Make Money With Joint Ventures

No other form of marketing is quite as powerful as using
joint ventures. Joint ventures are nothing more than two or more like minded
businesses working together to endorse and profit from each
others products. The truly successful internet marketers use joint ventures
as their number one way of generating a huge monthly income
and you can do the same thing.

In order to start using joint ventures for your own business
you will need to have your own product. The best type of product to do joint ventures with is simple information products in the form of ebooks. You will want to put together a top quality product in order to attract partners to do your joint ventures with. A product with a higher price point and higher pay out will always pull in more joint ventures than a low cost product.

Another thing you will want to do is give away a large portion
of the profits to your joint venture partners. A good starting point is to pay out a minimum of 50%. Most good joint ventures pay out 60%-90% as it is important to remember that the real profits from doing joint ventures are in the customer list and back end promotions.

In order to find partners to do joint ventures with, you will want to search for others who have similar products like yours. Not exactly like your but related to your topic. Once you find a few potential partners, you should send them a short email letting them know a little bit about who you are and why you are contacting them.

Also include a free copy of the product for your potential
joint venture partners to review.

You can use joint ventures to quickly boost your profits
and build a solid customer list very quickly if you are
persistent.

Ideas to Build Multiple Streams Of Residual Income Online

You are probably asking "how many affiliate programs should I join?" Be sure to avoid the mistake that many other people have made and that is joining too few affiliate programs on the one hand and too many on the other.

Joining too few affiliate programs is a problem for three major reasons:

Firstly, the bottom line is that you absolutely, must start earning multiple streams of income. One income stream, even two is not enough in today's world. If you are only relying on your job as your main source of income right now, you are a sitting duck for a financial disaster. If you lose your job or your health, you could be in big trouble financially. It is a very sad fact that most people are just one paycheck away from bankruptcy.

The same applies to affiliate marketing. If you are relying on just one or two affiliate programs to pull in the bulk of your income, you are extremely vulnerable. If you have built up a big residual income in one program and it goes out of business so do you. You absolutely must develop multiple streams of income to be secure in today's world.

Secondly joining only one or two affiliate programs does not give you enough experience to compare strengths and weaknesses of different programs. It leaves you being unaware of different possibilities and that is very dangerous to your financial health.

Thirdly if you only have one or two different products or programs to promote, that is not enough to solve the many different problems people will be coming to you for. You need to have a variety of tools in your affiliate toolbox so you can pull out the right one at the right time for the right person. If you do not, you will be leaving money on the table. It is that simple.

Joining too many affiliate programs is a problem for two major reasons:

Firstly, you will get very distracted. Focus has great power and if you have too many things to think about at one time, you will get confused. When you are confused, you do not take action. When you do not take action, you do not make money.

Secondly, many people will not take you seriously. If you are promoting everything and anything, people will sense your lack of sincerity and have no desire to do business with you. One of the big secrets to affiliate marketing success is promoting things you have some experience with and believe in.

But there is a happy medium somewhere in the middle of having enough products and programs to promote that keep you diversified and capable of solving multiple problems for people.

Ideally, five to six different affiliate programs in a niche is generally the best starting point to build multiple streams of residual income online. This gives you enough experience with different programs to compare their strengths and weaknesses. It gives you enough diversity so you can offer your prospects the right solution at the right time. And it broadens your own affiliate portfolio enough so that you can survive a disaster just in case one of the affiliate programs you are promoting falls on hard times.

Writing Sales Form

I'm going to give a brief overview of how to write a sales letter. You don't have to be some professional genius; you just have to be honest, compelling, and informative. You don't even have to try to sell the product; just let your subscribers know how to get it...from YOU. You can find details by subscribing to my newsletter on my site (in my signature), but here is a basic outline.

First of all, you need to pull the reader in. This part of the letter is usually very short and not very informative. You need to come up with a couple sentences of ultra-interesting, shocking, or just plain offensive material to grab the reader's attention. Ex. "The (product) That Puts the Experts Out of Business!" Anything that makes someone filter your message out of a mailbag full of spam will work. It is smart to also relate to the reader in this introduction. Figure out what your niche wants and make sure you let the reader know that this is what you intend to accomplish.

The next part is to introduce your product. Now you don't want to give away all the details of your idea yet; in fact, don't do that. Just give enough basic ideas to the reader to reassure them that this is what they need to put the final tools in place and be successful in their business. Give them the name and the basic function of your product in this section.

When you have introduced the product, explain the significance. Let the reader know exactly WHY they need the product. More specifically, let the reader know why they need YOUR specific product. This is the part of the sales letter where you really draw the reader into reading extended text. Make sure that you are compelling and effective in this area of the letter; this is where you really sell your product.

Finally, the easiest yet most skipped over part of the sales letter is to let your subscribers know WHERE and HOW they can get your product. This is as simple as directing them to your link, subscription form, or sales cart. Be direct. Be honest; and point them exactly to where they can get your VALUABLE product.

In all of this, remember to never directly sell your reader. Let them know the benefits and match them up with their needs. Then all you need to do is be ultra-informative and credible. For more information on credibility, see my article entitled, "The Magic of Credibility".

Good Luck!
